New enhanced Tensioning system without upgraded Lengthened Lead Screw
The New Tensioning System is desinged based on a lot of customers’ feedback,we provide lengtheded Lead Screw with Enhanced new tensioning system to solve the problem of whipping when for long length or faster speed,it allows the Lead screw to be placed under a higher amount of tension which minimises lead screw ‘whip’ allowing faster feed rates to be achieved.
This system utilises Thrust Bearings which are designed for pressure to be placed directly on the face of the bearing.
This kit not includes Upgraded lengthened Lead Screw. If you have a WorkBee V2.0 (with lengthed Lead Screw), you do not need to purchase additional Lead Screws.
The design integrate many suggestions,feedbacks from customers,forums,changing,testing,upgrading…,so the Tensioning system born,it solve the whipping problem of WorkBee effectively,it’s enhanced but econimic upgrade, this system can be used on any Lead screw actuator including the Lead CNC and other C-Beam machine system.
The New Tensioning System installed on the WorkBee CNC uses the plate orientation with the recess for the 688ZZ Bearing facing inwards. The Thrust Bearing is placed on the outside of the plate and held in place with an additional Brass Tension Nut. With the tension Nut so the Lead Screw can be placed under tension directly onto the Thrust Bearings.
New Upgrade: We have replaced the lock collar with Brass Tension Nut to prevent the lead screw from loosening!
